CLEANING COMPANY JOINS UP WITH INTERNATIONAL NONPROFIT TO CLEAN HOMES FOR WOMEN WITH CANCER
Maid Perfect Housekeeping Cleans For A Reason In Raleigh.
Raleigh, NC –September 2012 – Cancer affects millions. Women undergoing treatment for cancer have no energy to even clean their own homes. Maid Perfect Housekeeping realized this and partnered with Cleaning For A Reason to give their time, energy, and resources to clean the homes of women with cancer completely for free. One of the most overlooked factors in a cancer patient’s recovery is their own environment and the emotional toll it takes on a person who cannot take care things the way they used to.
“We want to help cancer patients to devote all their energy to their treatment and we will take care of the cleaning task”, says Carlos Alvarez of Maid Perfect Housekeeping. “To be part of this great foundation we want to educate others to make their respective medical checkups to detect any type of cancer in time and thus have better treatment and more possibilities for a long life.” Maid Perfect Housekeeping will be donating two cleanings a month through the Cleaning For A Reason foundation, a Lewisville, Texas nonprofit.
Cleaning For A Reason partners with maid services in the United States and Canada to provide free house cleaning for women undergoing treatment for cancer. Over the course of the past two years, Cleaning For A Reason has skyrocketed from 800 partners to over 1,000 partnered maid services. Cleaning For A Reason donated $1.3 million worth of cleanings to more than 4,600 women over the past twelve months. Cleaning companies that have joined Cleaning For A Reason have donated over $2.9 million in free services to more than 10,000 women with cancer since the organization started in 2006. Cleaning For A Reason will increase that milestone by 50 percent in 2012. To learn more about Cleaning For A Reason visit their website: www.cleaningforareason.org.
