MOTHER’S AFFORDABLE MAIDS PARTNERS WITH A NONPROFIT FOUNDATION
The Woodlands, Texas – February 6, 2014 – Mother’s Affordable Maids, a cleaning company, founded by Lily Alspaugh, has teamed up with Cleaning For A Reason, an international nonprofit foundation. Serving single family homes, apartments, condominiums, and adult independent living facilities, Mother’s Affordable Maids uses non-toxic and environmentally safe cleaning products.
“What first touched my heart and led me to discover Cleaning For A Reason was seeing the challenges of customers with cancer who had children,” says Alspaugh, mother of two. “Women with cancer face many of the same issues — they want their homes to be clean and toxin-free, and they want more family time. It’s really a blessing to be able to provide some extra help as they go through treatment.”
The company has agreed to help women battling cancer by cleaning two homes per month for four consecutive months at no charge. The only requirement is that the homes be within the company’s existing service area in The Woodlands and northwest Houston. Some of the most innovative and successful cancer research and treatment takes place every day at the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world, located 32 miles south of The Woodlands in Houston.
Cleaning For A Reason strives to aid women who are battling cancer by teaming up with cleaning services across the United States and Canada. Together, these two forces offer free maid services to meet the needs of women, and since 2006, have donated more than $4.2 million in free services. Based in Lewisville, TX, Cleaning For A Reason works with more than 1,000 residential cleaning services and continues to grow and gain support.
